VISX® CustomVue™ Star S4 Laser for Custom LASIK™

Our vision center in Centennial, near Denver, proudly offer Custom LASIK™ laser vision correction performed using the VISX® CustomVue™ laser for optimal results. Custom LASIK™ allows individuals to receive detailed, personalized treatment for their unique eye problems. Because of this, no two treatments are identical. In addition, the CustomVue™ laser has the ability to track eye movement and automatically align the laser beam for surgical results that are 25 times more precise than other methods. WaveScan®-based digital technology adds precision to the Custom LASIK™ procedure by identifying, measuring, and mapping out imperfections that are unique to an individual's eye. This enables LASIK treatment to be custom tailored to the patient. Using VISX® CustomVue™ and WaveScan WaveFront® technology, Custom LASIK™ allows patients to achieve an entirely new standard of laser vision correction.

Benefits of Custom LASIK™ with the VISX® CustomVue™ Laser

Custom LASIK™ with the CustomVue™ laser offers patients a variety of benefits. Not only can the VISX CustomVue™ method correct the unique flaws of each eye, but it also allows patients the opportunity to achieve better vision than is possible with contact lenses or other corrective eyewear. CustomVue™ technology also produces safer and more predictable outcomes, better night vision, and better improved vision overall. According to a clinical study, 98 percent of patients had 20/20 vision one year after the Custom LASIK™ procedure, with 70 percent of them able to see better than 20/20. The study also found that 100 percent of patients in the study could pass a driving test. Contact our Centennial practice near Denver to learn more about Custom LASIK™ using the VISX® CustomVue™ laser or to schedule an appointment.

iFS™ IntraLase® Laser for Blade-free LASIK Vision Correction

Our practice features the advanced Blade-free LASIK surgery using state-of-the-art iFS™ IntraLase® laser technology for the ultimate in safety and comfort. Instead being created with a handheld microkeratome blade, the corneal flap is created with the computer-guided precision of the iFS™ IntraLase® laser during LASIK surgery. The iFS™ IntraLase® system has the ability to accurately program customized dimensions and specifications for the corneal flap based on what is best suited for a patient's eye. Because the laser can be programmed to determine specific, personalized parameters, patients with various eye conditions who were previously unable to receive LASIK treatment may now be eligible for the popular laser vision correction procedure. In addition, compared to the use of a microkeratome, IntraLase® technology makes LASIK a safer and more successful procedure with fewer complications. And these are just a few of the benefits of Blade-free LASIK using the iFS™ IntraLase® laser. Contact our practice to learn more about the advantages of using the iFS™ IntraLase® laser for vision correction.

Bausch & Lomb's Orbscan II® for Accurate Laser Vision Correction Evaluation

In making the crucial assessment of a patient's candidacy for laser vision correction or cataract surgery, we use the most highly sophisticated corneal diagnostic technology on the market — the Bausch & Lomb Orbscan II®. Used during LASIK or cataract surgery evaluations, the Orbscan II® creates a three-dimensional map of the contours of the eye in a process known as elevation topography. The Orbscan II® is the only topographical system on the market that can effectively measure the entire front and back surface of the cornea, an advantage over other corneal diagnostic equipment that can only measure the surface of the eye at standardized points. In addition, the Orbscan II® quickly and painlessly analyzes the shape and thickness of the cornea, as well as recognizes abnormalities that can greatly influence a patient's ability to receive laser vision correction or other treatment. The information gathered from the Orbscan II® allows our expert surgeons to make a more accurate diagnosis for determining the laser vision correction that will provide the best outcome.

WaveScan WaveFront® Diagnostic Technology for Detailed Measurements

We are proud to feature WaveScan WaveFront® technology to assist in laser vision correction evaluation and treatment at our practice. The WaveScan WaveFront® system works by projecting light rays through the retina, which create waves that measure the details and imperfections of the entire optical system with unprecedented accuracy. The wavefront measurements are then converted into a digital visual profile called a waveprint that, much like a fingerprint, is unique to each individual. The detailed waveprint is compared to a perfect wavefront, which helps our surgeons determine what adjustments need to be made to help patients achieve the best vision possible. The WaveScan WaveFront® system allows patients to receive laser vision correction treatment that is customized to their needs.
