Craig Hospital Staff
Terrence Spencer, M.D., surgeon at SpivackVisionCenter, received an award of recognition for providing laser vision correction to numerous patients at CraigHospital.The complimentary procedures were performed on CraigHospitalpatients that no longer could put their glasses or contact lenses on as a result of a life altering accident or illness.
"This is a wonderful opportunity as a physician to be able to give something back to the community," explained Dr. Spencer. "It is very rewarding for the entire staff at SpivackVisionCenter.It is a team effort, and wonderful to share the joy with these patients who are so appreciative."
Spivack Vision Center to donate proceeds from a day of LASIK surgery to American Red Cross
On October 1st, 2005, Denver's leading eye clinic, Spivack Vision Center, will donate all proceeds from an entire day of LASIK surgery to help the victims of hurricane Katrina.
Spivack Vision Center's goal is to raise $50,000
All patients undergoing LASIK at Spivack Vision Center on Saturday, October 1, 2005 will receive their procedure at half price and 100% of the money will be donated to the American Red Cross.
"Everyone at the clinic is looking forward to helping raise a lot of money for the devastated victims of Katrina" said Dr. Lawrence Spivack, M.D., Medical Director and founder of Spivack Vision Center. "By offering LASIK at half price, I hope that some patients may be willing to donate a matching amount of money to also help the cause."

There are medical limitations as to who may or may not qualify to receive the surgery due to certain preoperative medical requirements that must be met in order to have LASIK on October 1st.

The "Crystalens" is a refractive surgery recently approved by the FDA. It is a lens replacement surgery benefiting those over the age of 40 with or without cataracts.
